"The Library" level from Halo CE's Campaign is awful. From a level design perspective, it's horribly lazy and has the same room layouts copied and pasted EVERYWHERE. Combine that with the same 4 repetitive types of Flood, and you get a level that's nothing but filler.. Even on legendary a mid range shot will put combat forms down.

The library is probably one of these easiest missions in the whole game. I just replayed CE on legendary the other day so it's still fresh in my mind. Other than those rooms that Guilty Spark locks you in, this level is pretty easy. All you have to do is kite the flood backwards once they get too overwhelming.

Down the tunnel and around the corner is a long corridor with several combat forms at the end. Zoom in with your pistol and take them all out from a distance. Move forward a bit and a horde of infection forms will appear. Shoot a few bullets into the mass and let the rest pop themselves on your shield.

Hadn't played halo CE since pretty much the release. Had no idea what "the library" even was but boy did i ever read horror stories about it. Cleared it in 1:12 me and a buddy at legendary. Wasn't half has bad has i tought it would be! Just do the one man army trick while your team mate stays to safety and you should be mint.

I literally ran thru stages and only killed enemies that NEEDED to be killed in order to advance the story. Legendary pulls no punches (unless you're halo 3 or halo reach as both were relatively easy on Legendary. halo 2 is by far the most unforgiving and is the ONLY halo game I haven't beaten on Legendary). If this is your first time playing this mission on legendary you will always die. Most of it boils down to learning the floods spawns and spawn times. You can actually be able to manipulate it and eventually you can skip whole sections of the level. #11.

Right now we are halfway done with Reach. 1 hour for Winter Contingency. 2 Hours for Sword base. 1 Hour for Nightfall. 2 Hours for Tip of the spear. 2 Hours for Long Night of Solace. We are looking at Exodus and New Alexandria to take an hour each, then 3 hours each for the Package and Pillar of Autumn.
